Senior Information Security Auditor

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Information Security Auditor to join their team in Benoni . This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for planning and executing information security audits, assessing compliance with policies and regulations, and identifying areas for improvement. This is a critical role for ensuring the integrity and security of the organization's information assets through rigorous examination and proactive recommendations.

• Plan, conduct, and report on information security audits across various systems and departments.
• Assess compliance with internal security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, POPIA).
• Identify security control gaps and vulnerabilities, and develop actionable recommendations for remediation.
• Review IT general controls, application controls, and data security practices.
• Collaborate with IT, risk management, and business units to ensure audit findings are understood and addressed.
• Stay current with audit methodologies, security threats, and regulatory changes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security auditing or related roles.
• Strong understanding of IT audit principles, frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001), and best practices.
• Experience with risk assessment and control evaluation methodologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC are highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly in a hybrid setting.
