As a Lead Dev Ops Engineer within United Healthcare Medicare & Retirement, you will lead the design, build, and deployment of enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure, automated CI/CD pipelines, and AI-powered automation solutions supporting critical Medicare platforms. In this role, you will leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline technical workflows, architect continuous delivery pipelines for traditional and AI/ML applications, and drive responsible AI adoption across engineering operations.
You will collaborate closely with software engineering, data science, and security teams to build resilient, scalable infrastructure that accelerates the delivery of high-quality healthcare services for millions of Medicare-eligible individuals.

* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automated pipelines to address complex infrastructure and delivery challenges, with a focus on responsible use of AI
- Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline engineering workflows, automate infrastructure management tasks, and drive continuous operational improvement
- Evaluate emerging technology and AI trends to inform solution design, platform architecture, and strategic innovation across Dev Ops operations
- Architect, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployment solutions across multi-cloud environments
- Establish MLOps infrastructure and deployment frameworks to support model lifecycle management, monitoring, and AI/ML pipeline automation
- Drive adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and automated testing standards across technical teams
- Create enterprise telemetry, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance across healthcare delivery platforms
- Partner with security, privacy, and compliance leaders to enforce pipeline compliance, automated security testing, and responsible AI governance
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to Dev Ops and software engineering teams

Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops engineering, site reliability engineering, or cloud platform infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience designing and managing automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, or Azure Dev Ops)
- 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Open Shift)
- 2+ years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML pipelines, MLOps tooling, or AI-powered automation solutions
- 2+ years of experience implementing monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace)
- 1+ years of experience scripting or programming in languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or Power Shell
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Professional cloud, Dev Ops, or AI/ML certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or AWS/Azure AI Specialist certifications)
