Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Remote Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst to protect the connected systems within vehicles from evolving cyber threats. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in South Africa while playing a critical role in securing the future of automotive technology. You will be responsible for monitoring security threats, analyzing vulnerabilities, and implementing robust security measures to safeguard vehicle data and functionality, contributing to a secure and trustworthy automotive ecosystem, all within a fully remote and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor automotive networks and systems for security breaches, anomalies, and potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on in-vehicle systems and connected car platforms.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices for automotive cybersecurity.
- Respond to security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stay current with the latest automotive cybersecurity threats, trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis, network security, or information security, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and defensive measures.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, UDS, Ethernet) and security standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
