As part of our apprenticeship programme, we’re offering a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to begin their journey as a Junior IT Support Engineer.
This role is designed to give you hands-on experience in IT support while you work towards an industry-recognised qualification.
What You’ll Do- Provide first-line technical support to clients (remote & onsite)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues
- Support users with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word)
- Assist with setting up PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and printers
- Gain exposure to Active Directory and cloud-based services like Azure
- Work alongside experienced engineers on real client projects
- Learn how to diagnose and fix hardware (desktops and laptops)
- A genuine passion for technology and problem solving
- Strong communication skills with a customer first mindset
- Basic knowledge of computers, networks, Microsoft software
- A willingness to learn and work towards industry certifications
- Self-motivation and reliability with a desire to grow in a supportive team
(Full training provided with no prior professional IT experience required)
Your DevelopmentYou’ll be mentored by our team of experienced engineers while completing your apprenticeship. By the end of the programme, you’ll have:
- A recognised IT qualification (such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft technologies, or equivalent)
- Real world experience supporting 4,000+ end users across multiple industries
- A clear pathway into a fulltime IT Support Engineer role within KJL Group
Hours:
Mon–Fri 08:30–17:00
Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays

This role will initially be based in our Basildon HQ to support training and mentoring. As you progress, there will be opportunities to work from home and join field engineers on client visits.
