Remote) Technical Consultant

Cayenta, a division of Harris; is seeking a Technical Consultant who will join our Cayenta Managed Services (CMS) team within Managed Services & Technical Operations.

As a Technical Consultant, you will help manage and maintain the technical environments that support our customers' Cayenta ERP and Customer Information Systems. You will work across system administration, database administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, customer support, and eventually cloud infrastructure.

This is a hands‑on technical role for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning how systems work, and taking ownership of customer environments. You will initially focus primarily on on‑premises customer environments, with opportunities to expand into Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud operations as the Managed Services offering continues to grow.

You will work closely with other Managed Services team members as well as Cayenta Support, Technical Services, Development, Business Intelligence, and other teams to maintain reliable, secure, and stable customer environments.

Technical knowledge can be developed. Curiosity, resourcefulness, and ownership are much harder to teach.

We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn, willing to dig, and comfortable solving problems that don't come with step‑by‑step instructions.

In Managed Services, you will encounter unfamiliar configurations, technical issues you haven't seen before, incomplete documentation, and situations where the first answer you try doesn't work.

When you hit that wall, we don't expect you to already know everything.

Search the internal knowledge base. Read the product and vendor documentation. Review previous tickets. Look pare environments. Test safely. Ask knowledgeable teammates better questions. Use AI tools responsibly to help research, reason through possibilities, interpret information, and accelerate troubleshooting.

If one path doesn't work, try another.

And when you solve something new, document what you learned so the next person doesn't have to start from zero.

We are not looking for someone whose troubleshooting process ends with "I checked the KB and couldn't find it." We are looking for someone who sees that as the beginning of the investigation.

You will serve as a primary or secondary technical consultant for multiple Cayenta Managed Services customers and help ensure their environments remain reliable, secure, stable, and well maintained.
