Position Summary:
MLR Associates Ltd is actively seeking an experienced, highly technical, and analytical Solution Services End-to-End (E2E) Tester with strong domain knowledge in IMS, PaCO, SDM, and 5G Core networks to join our testing operations on a remote contract basis (Europe location mandatory). In this critical telecom testing and quality assurance role, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end testing activities within advanced telecommunications environments, ensuring flawless protocol interoperability and high-quality solution deliveries.
You will leverage your deep practical expertise in packet core protocols, protocol testing (HTTP2, SIP, MAP, Diameter), Wireshark packet analysis, and cloud-native container deployments (Kubernetes, Docker) to validate complex signaling paths. This opportunity requires an agile testing professional with robust troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across cross-functional engineering teams.
Job Description:
As a Solution Services E2E Tester at MLR Associates Ltd, you will take full technical ownership of end-to-end test execution, protocol verification, signaling analysis, and defect troubleshooting across IMS, Packet Core (PaCO), Subscriber Data Management (SDM), and 5G Core architectures. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing test scenarios, executing protocol test suites (HTTP2, SIP, MAP, Diameter), analyzing Wireshark packet captures for deep-dive log analysis, and validating VNF deployments across Kubernetes and Docker cloud platforms.
You will collaborate closely with system integration engineers, develop a thorough understanding of test environment topologies and functionality, and ensure uncompromised software delivery quality across distributed telecom networks.
- Execute comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) testing activities for IMS, PaCO (Packet Core), SDM, and 5G Core network solutions.
- Perform rigorous protocol testing across HTTP2, SIP, MAP, Diameter, and signaling interfaces in virtualized telecom environments.
- Conduct advanced packet capture analysis and log troubleshooting utilizing Wireshark tools to isolate root-cause network anomalies.
- Validate cloud-native network functions (CNFs) and virtualized network functions (VNFs) deployed on Kubernetes and Docker platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and development teams to ensure high-quality software deliveries.
- Develop and maintain a thorough technical understanding of test environment architectures, call flows, and system functionality.
- Document test results, track defect life cycles, and provide detailed diagnostic reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to telecommunications testing standards, quality benchmarks, and project delivery timelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional hands-on testing experience within the IMS, SDM, PaCO, or 5G Core domain.
- Expert working knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G network architectures, signaling call flows, and core network interfaces.
- Practical expertise in protocol testing covering HTTP2, SIP, MAP, and Diameter signaling protocols.
- Hands-on experience testing cloud, virtualization, and VNF/CNF deployments utilizing Kubernetes and Docker container platforms.
- Proficiency in packet analysis, log debugging, and network troubleshooting using Wireshark tools.
- Strong programming/scripting familiarity in Python for test automation and log parsing tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, training capabilities, and mandatory residency in Europe for remote work.
