Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their distributed team, focusing on securing their cloud infrastructure. This role is critical for protecting sensitive data and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of cloud-based systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls, policies, and procedures across various cloud environments. • Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud environments.
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including multifactor authentication.
• Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance deviations.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and implement remediation strategies.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests of cloud infrastructure.
• Automate security processes and implement security tools within CI/CD pipelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on cloud security.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices for major cloud providers.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for security automation.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, cryptography, and threat modeling.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
