Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Remote Telecom Network Operations Specialist to ensure the optimal functioning of their extensive telecommunications network. This fully remote position requires a dedicated individual to monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and contribute to the overall stability and efficiency of our client's services. You will work within a global operations center, collaborating with teams to maintain high standards of service availability and performance.
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of network operations, and thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment, safeguarding critical telecom infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security using advanced network management tools.
- Respond promptly to network alerts and incidents, performing initial diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including configuration backups, software updates, and system health checks.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to scale complex issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Document network events, resolutions, and standard operating procedures for the network operations team.
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in network operations or a similar role within the telecommunications sector.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds, Nagios) and ticketing systems.
- Understanding of telecom network principles , including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
