About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and forward-thinking AI Ethicist and Governance Specialist for a fully remote position. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing ethical guidelines and governance frameworks for the development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies. You will work to ensure our AI solutions are fair, transparent, accountable, and aligned with societal values and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive ethical frameworks and policies for AI development and deployment.
  • Conduct ethical risk assessments and provide guidance on mitigating potential biases and harms in AI systems.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance related to AI, data privacy, and algorithmic fairness.
  • Collaborate with engineering, legal, and product teams to ensure ethical considerations are integrated into AI projects.
  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to promote ethical AI practices across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of global trends, regulations, and best practices in AI ethics and governance.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on AI ethics.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing ethical guidelines or governance frameworks, preferably in technology or AI.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning principles, and potential ethical challenges.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards concerning AI and data privacy.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and collaborating effectively across distributed teams.
