About the Role
Our client, a rapidly expanding telecommunications company serving the Soweto community and beyond, is seeking a proactive and skilled Remote Telecoms Network Operations Specialist
. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to the stability and performance of our client's network infrastructure from anywhere. You will be responsible for monitoring network operations, responding to alerts, and ensuring the continuous availability of services for thousands of users. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and system health using sophisticated monitoring tools.
- Respond promptly to network alarms and incidents, performing initial diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Implement routine network maintenance tasks, including software updates and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex network issues.
- Document network operational procedures, incident reports, and troubleshooting guides.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of network operations processes and tools.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent certification in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in network operations or a related technical support role within the telecoms industry.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, Solar Winds).
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP

Salary
