Cloud Security Specialist

Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Cloud Security Specialist to join their fully remote security team. This role is essential for ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure across various platforms. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust security controls and strategies tailored for cloud environments. • Design, deploy, and maintain security solutions for cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies, ensuring least privilege access across cloud resources.
• Develop and enforce security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including secure configuration, patching, and monitoring.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud deployments to identify and address vulnerabilities.
• Respond to cloud-based security incidents, performing forensic analysis and implementing remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering and Dev Ops teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application development.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience in cloud security, with a strong understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in configuring and managing cloud security services, including security groups, WAFs, encryption, and key management.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation and container security.
• Knowledge of cloud compliance frameworks and data privacy regulations relevant to cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adapted for a remote work setting.
