Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Data Analyst to join their innovative team, focusing on optimizing mining operations through advanced data analytics. - Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various mining operational systems and sensors.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement in mining .
- Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and management teams to understand data needs and deliver insightful findings.
- Develop predictive models to forecast production, identify potential risks, and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for data management and security.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably with exposure to the mining industry or industrial operations.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis and data modeling is a plus.
