About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join their established security team, operating on a fully remote basis to support operations across South Africa, including teams that may be based in Mahikeng . This role is focused on designing, implementing, and managing advanced security measures to protect the organization's digital assets. You will play a critical role in threat detection, incident response, and the continuous improvement of security protocols.

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise-level security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and DLP systems.

• Conduct in-depth security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, providing actionable recommendations.
• Manage and coordinate incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and eradication.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security team members, fostering a culture of security excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are highly desirable.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity roles, with a proven track record in designing and managing security programs.
• Expertise in threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python) and experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
