Paladin Security is seeking an Intermediate Systems Administrator to join our Corporate IT team. This role is ideal for a systems professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving infrastructure, and working with modern Microsoft, cloud, and virtualization technologies. As a key member of the Infrastructure team, you'll work closely with IT leadership to support and enhance enterprise systems serving users across Canada and the United States.
You'll be involved in both day-to-day operations and strategic projects, with opportunities to expand your expertise in cloud computing, automation, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure. What You’ll Do
Infrastructure & Operations
Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environmentsManage Active Directory, Entra (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365 servicesSupport virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup solutionsMonitor infrastructure health, performance, and availabilityPlan and implement system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activitiesParticipating in business continuity and disaster recovery initiativesPlan and implement office build or relocationSupport & Escalation
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issuesPartner with the Service Desk to resolve infrastructure-related incidentsTroubleshoot server, cloud, networking, and Microsoft 365 issuesWork with vendors and technology partners to resolve problems and implement solutionSecurity & Compliance
Apply security best practices across all systems and deploymentsInvestigate cybersecurity alerts and respond to incidentsSupport Zero Trust architecture principles and implementationCloud Security & Automation
Support and maintain Azure and hybrid cloud servicesApply security best practices across systems and servicesAssist with security investigations and remediation effortsDevelop scripts and automation to improve operational efficiencyContribute to infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiativesCollaboration
Maintain technical documentation and operational proceduresCommunicate changes and maintenance activities to stakeholdersCollaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and improvementRequired Experience
3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, or IT OperationsExperience administering Windows Server environmentsExperience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active DirectoryStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of networking fundamentalsExperience with Power Shell or other scripting/automation toolsExperience with any of the following is considered an asset:
Azure and/or AWSNutanix or other virtualization platformsVeeam Backup & ReplicationMicrosoft Teams PhoneMicrosoft Endpoint Manager / IntuneSQL Server administrationFive9 or similar contact center technologiesEducation & Certifications
Degree, diploma, certification, or equivalent practical experience in Information Technology or Computer ScienceEducation Requirements (All)
