Description
Our client is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to help shape the experience, interaction models, and overall design vision for a growing portfolio of internal AI and Generative AI products. This individual will play a key role in defining how employees interact with next-generation tools designed to improve efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance decision-making across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and broader IT Delivery Lifecycle.
Reporting directly to the Director of AI/ML Delivery, this person will work closely with product owners, project leads, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand current delivery processes, identify opportunities for automation, and create intuitive user experiences that drive adoption and measurable business outcomes.
This role is ideal for a strategic UX leader who combines exceptional design capabilities with strong business acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:Define and drive the UX vision, strategy, and design standards for internal AI and GenAI products.
Partner with AI/ML leaders, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate complex business processes into intuitive user experiences.
Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, and persona development to deeply understand end-user needs.
Design user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity experiences that simplify complex AI-driven workflows.
Create scalable design solutions that support adoption of AI capabilities across the organization.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and successful implementation.
Lead design discussions and influence product direction through a user-centered design approach.
Establish and maintain design systems, interaction standards, and UX best practices.
Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to identify process inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
Measure user engagement, usability, and adoption to continuously improve product experiences.

This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85.00 - $85.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
