The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining and improving existing databased systems as well as assisting in the design and development of new systems utilizing the latest techniques and technologies. Primary responsibilities would include database design, performance tuning, writing and understanding complex SQL, optimizing and updating existing database code, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents. The role will also require responding to database related alerts and escalations within an expected SLA time.

As part of the larger data team, working with management and other teams to define strategic solutions, and address recurring problems will be necessary.
