IT Business Analyst, Business Systems & Technology Analysis
The Senior Configuration Professional is a Workday Talent and Performance functional expert who partners with HR, Talent, Performance, Technology, and other business stakeholders to design, configure, test, implement, and support scalable solutions that align with business objectives and enhance the associate experience.
This role translates business requirements into sustainable system solutions, provides strategic guidance on Workday capabilities and leading practices, and ensures configuration changes align with enterprise standards, governance, and long-term HR technology strategy. Working within the HR Workday Configuration Team, the individual identifies process improvement opportunities, recommends technology solutions, and helps maintain platform stability and consistent user experience.
As a functional owner for assigned Talent and Performance work streams, this role develops expertise in areas such as performance management, goals, feedback, talent reviews, succession planning, career development, skills, and emerging talent technologies. The individual evaluates new Workday functionality and industry trends to improve business outcomes, streamline processes, and maximize the value of Humana’s Talent and Performance ecosystem.
The Senior Configuration Professional also leads requirements gathering, solution design, impact assessments, and configuration activities, while partnering across configuration teams to understand cross-functional impacts and support enterprise initiatives. In addition, this role collaborates with IT and integration teams on design, development, testing, and implementation, and supports governance activities including release management, testing, documentation, change control, and ongoing optimization.
This position provides advanced troubleshooting and Tier 3 support for complex issues and drives continuous improvement to ensure Workday and related HR technologies effectively support associates, leaders, and business needs.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience configuring and supporting HR technology solutions, including at least 3 years of hands‑on Workday configuration experience.
Experience configuring and supporting Workday Talent and Performance functionality, including one or more of the following:
Performance Management, Goals, Feedback, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, SkillsExperience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable Workday solutions.
Experience configuring and maintaining Workday business processes, condition rules, notifications, security considerations, and related framework components.
Experience supporting testing activities, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation, while partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive process improvements and technology solutions.
Workday Pro certification in Talent, Performance, HCM, or related areas.
7+ years of HR technology/HRIS experience, including leadership of Workday implementations, enhancements, or transformations.
Experience supporting skills‑based organization, workforce transformation, Workday releases, integrations, and governance processes.
