At , we help local governments work smarter.
Our mission is simple:
to improve governance through the use of modern technology and services.
Every day, we work with municipalities across Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand to modernise processes, improve information management, automate manual work, increase transparency, and help governments deliver better outcomes for their communities.
Good records management is an important part of that.
When information is properly classified, retained, secured, and accessible, local governments can operate more effectively, meet their governance and compliance obligations, and give both employees and communities better access to the information they need.
We're looking for an experienced Laserfiche Records Management Consultant who can bring together records and information management expertise with practical technology skills.
This is a fully remote position, with working hours aligned to North American business hours. Candidates must be comfortable working remotely and collaborating with clients and team members across multiple time zones.
This Isn’t Just About Managing RecordsSuccessful records management takes more than creating a retention schedule.
We’re looking for someone who understands how good records governance needs to translate into systems that people can actually use.
Someone who can understand a client’s legislative, governance, and operational requirements, design the right records management approach, and then configure the technology to make it work in practice.
You’ll work with municipal and public-sector clients to develop classification schemes, retention schedules, disposition processes, metadata structures, security models, and records automation, while using Laserfiche Cloud to turn those requirements into practical solutions.
You’ll be involved throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, migration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
If your natural instinct is to ask: "How should this information be governed, and how do we make the system enforce that in practice?" then you’ll probably thrive here.
What You’ll Be Responsible ForAs a Laserfiche Records Management Consultant, you’ll take responsibility for designing and configuring records management solutions that are compliant, practical, scalable, and easy for our clients to use.
You’ll:
- Work with Project Management and Customer Success teams to understand client records management governance and Laserfiche configuration requirements.
- Assess existing records management programs, systems, and configurations to identify opportunities for improvement or reuse.
- Develop classification schemes, retention schedules, cut-off rules, and disposition processes aligned with legislative and client requirements.
- Configure Laserfiche Cloud Records Management functionality, including repositories, metadata templates, security models, retention rules, and automation.
- Translate records governance requirements into practical system configurations and processes.
- Create and maintain technical specifications, governance documentation, and configuration maps.
- Demonstrate proposed solutions to stakeholders to validate the approach and confirm requirements are being met.
- Support migrations from legacy or on-premises systems into Laserfiche Cloud while maintaining metadata and retention requirements.
- Configure and test security settings, permissions, workflows, business processes, and integrations.
- Test records management configurations, retention automation, cut-off rules, metadata, security, and classification structures before client acceptance.
