Principal Telecoms Cloud Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Telecoms Cloud Engineer to join their fully remote team. In this senior role, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and deploying cloud-native infrastructure and solutions that power next-generation telecommunications services. You will leverage your expertise in cloud platforms, containerization, and distributed systems to drive innovation and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our client's offerings.

• Architect, develop, and deploy scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for telecom workloads.
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm.
• Design and automate CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery and infrastructure management.
• Develop and enforce cloud security best practices, ensuring compliance and data protection.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-efficiency.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decision-making.

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies.
• Deep expertise in at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, distributed systems, and microservices architecture within a telecom context.
