About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Remote Network Infrastructure Specialist to join their distributed technical operations team. This position is critical for maintaining and enhancing the company's robust network infrastructure, supporting operations across multiple locations without the need for on-site presence in Randburg . You will be instrumental in ensuring network reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and strategic upgrades.
The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work environment, possesses deep expertise in network technologies, and is passionate about delivering secure and efficient network solutions.
- Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable network infrastructure , including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues to ensure high availability.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems.
- Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of network devices and protocols.
- Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades and new technology deployments.
- Provide remote technical support and guidance for network-related incidents and requests.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking , routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network security principles.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies is highly advantageous.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex network problems remotely.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools and network management systems.
