AI Ethics Officer

Our client is looking for a proactive AI Ethics Officer to join their fully remote team. This position is integral to ensuring that our client's AI initiatives are developed and deployed responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and societal expectations. You will be responsible for developing policies, conducting impact assessments, and advising internal teams on best practices for AI ethics.

This role requires a unique blend of technical understanding, ethical reasoning, and strong communication skills to navigate the complex landscape of artificial intelligence and its societal impact.

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies and frameworks.
• Conduct ethical impact assessments for AI projects and algorithms.
• Provide guidance and training to development teams on responsible AI principles.
• Monitor and interpret emerging regulations and industry standards related to AI ethics.
• Investigate and address ethical concerns or potential biases in AI systems.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and product teams to ensure ethical alignment.

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and their potential ethical implications.
• Experience in policy development, risk assessment, or governance, preferably in a technology context.
• Strong knowledge of ethical principles such as fairness, accountability, transparency, and privacy.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
