Telecoms Network Specialist

Our client is looking for a proficient Telecoms Network Specialist to join their technical team in Paarl , operating on a hybrid model. This role is vital for supporting and enhancing the company's telecommunications network, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security. You will be involved in network monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, and the implementation of network upgrades. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of network protocols and technologies and is adept at resolving technical challenges.

This position requires a balance of on-site collaboration and the flexibility of remote work.

• Monitor network performance and traffic patterns, identifying and resolving anomalies.
• Configure, manage, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Respond to network incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and system enhancements.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including configurations and operational procedures.
• Provide technical support to internal users and assist with network-related projects.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecoms network support or administration.
• Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco or similar networking equipment.
• Understanding of TCP/IP , routing protocols, and network security concepts.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and techniques.
