Drive data modernization efforts as a Senior Data Architect in a remote role supporting regulatory systems. Design integration between data platforms and ensure data governance best practices.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to work remotely from Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will define data architecture standards and create data models while collaborating with developers, data engineers, and GIS specialists. Your expertise will guide integration patterns and establish governance across platforms for regulatory and geospatial data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define target-state data architecture for various platforms
• Design conceptual and physical data models for integration
• Establish various data integration patterns and workflows
• Lead architecture of Databricks lakehouse solutions
• Mentor team members on data architecture best practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years in data architecture, ideally 3 as a Data Architect
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and SQL
• Strong background in data modeling and governance
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms
Utilize your data architecture experience to drive successful integrations and governance initiatives in a digitally advanced regulatory environment.
