Job Description & How to Apply Below

Great opportunity for anyone at mid-senior or senior level, ready for their next step-up within a UX-mature environment.

The client

There are many agencies and consultancies out there who might talk a good game when it comes to UX but in reality, their projects are hard and fast without the depth of UX process that might have been promised. In this case however, the consultancy is built upon user experience design, working with global companies with a focus on their customers to transform their services for the better.

This is a great opportunity for anyone at mid-senior or senior level, ready for their next step-up. You’d have the luxury of project variety combined still with thorough project processes and a good work-life balance.

This consultancy also offers some great benefits such as, a yearly training budget, working from home budget, BUPA healthcare and life insurance, to name a few.

This consultancy has a remote first policy with offices in both London or Bristol. So although there are no set days for you to visit those offices, they would at least need to know you could get to one of them with ease at short notice.

Sorry, sponsorship is not being offered at this time.

The role

This position is within their Financial Services team – one of their client-focused, mini business units. Their mission is to help FS firms thrive by making products and services that are easy to understand and use, so their customers can make better decisions. The FS team is obsessed with learning how people make complex decisions, then putting what they learn into practice and designing innovative, user-centric solutions.

You will:

  • Work at all stages of the research and design process
  • Plan, facilitate and analyse user research
  • Create research outputs, such as personas, experience maps, ‘as-is’ service blueprints etc
  • Turn research and testing findings into design concepts, at varying levels of fidelity – from sketches to wireframes
  • Create prototypes at varying levels of fidelity, from basic click-throughs to rich, interactive prototypes
  • Lead workshops with clients and users
  • Present research findings, designs and their rationale to senior stakeholders
The candidate

You’ll need:

  • A balance between and analytical and a creative, innovative mindset
  • Great communication skills (verbal and written), the ability to listen, and to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Emotional intelligence and an understanding of how to build strong, collaborative relationships
  • Solid experience in UX design. In-house or agency backgrounds are both welcome
  • Expert-level knowledge and practical experience of user centred design practices.
  • Experience working in a ‘lean’ way, and familiarity with agile methodologies
  • Experience working in small, cross-disciplinary design sprint teams
