Watchkeep is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working independently, and delivering infrastructure solutions that are accurate, well-planned, and built to last.

This is a senior technical role for someone who takes pride in their expertise and wants ownership of meaningful client projects from discovery through implementation, validation, documentation, and handoff.
** What You'll Work On
** You will be trusted to:
* Lead server migrations, Microsoft 365 rollouts, Azure deployments, network upgrades, and infrastructure modernization projects.
* Diagnose complex Level 2/3 technical issues and identify permanent, root-cause solutions.
* Assess client environments, uncover dependencies and technical risks, and develop sound implementation plans.
* Design and execute technical solutions using established standards and best practices.
* Work directly with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, firewalls, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.
* Create accurate diagrams, implementation notes, configurations, SOPs, and technical documentation.
* Provide technical expertise during project scoping and solution development.
* Identify opportunities to improve standards, automation, processes, and technical quality.

** Technical Experience
** We're looking for 6+ years of progressive IT experience, including 2–3+ years delivering infrastructure projects, with strong knowledge of:
** Microsoft 365:
** Exchange Online, Entra , SharePoint/One Drive, MFA, tenant administration and migrations
** Microsoft Azure:
** Virtual machines, storage, networking, VPN connectivity and related cloud services
** Microsoft

Infrastructure:
** Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and file services
** Networking:
** TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls and network troubleshooting

Experience with Hyper-V, infrastructure migrations, backup/disaster recovery, Connect Wise, Ninja One, Power Shell or other automation tools is valuable. MSP experience is strongly preferred.

Relevant Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki or similar certifications are a plus but are not required.

This is a hybrid position involving work from Watchkeep offices, a home office, and client locations. Regular local client-site travel is required.
