Job title:
Head of Technology & Innovation
The Open College of the Arts (OCA), which is part of the Open University group, is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Head of Technology and Innovation to lead the development and implementation of digital initiatives across the organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of technology solutions that enhance the student and staff experience, improve operational efficiencies, and support the achievement of the College’s strategic goals.
Having oversight of both the IT Services (ITS) and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) teams, the Head of Technology and Innovation is responsible for the strategic vision and planning of all the college’s Digital Technologies and Systems being put to appropriate use within its delivered programmes and operational contexts. The role-holder will work to ensure that the college’s Academic and Digital Technology Strategies are fully aligned to enable the college’s strategic mission to be fulfilled.
The role also involves research and development of new and existing technologies, including use of RPA and AI models, to ensure that the college’s deployment of technologies continues to evolve and meet the needs of its diverse student body, academics and operational teams.
This role will also require you to liaise and work with colleagues at the Open University on collaborative initiatives alongside projects focused on alignment of technologies and secure data transfer mechanisms between both organisations.
OCA aims to be a welcoming and inclusive institution that is truly representative of all of the diversity in society. We particularly encourage applications from people from minoritised ethnic groups and people with disabilities who are currently under-represented within OCA.
Please note that our organisation does not possess a Home Office license, and, as a result, we are unable to provide sponsorship for anyone seeking a Visa as a skilled or temporary migrant worker.
