Remote Network Security Analyst

About the Role  Our client is seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Remote Network Security Analyst to safeguard their telecommunications network against cyber threats. Working entirely from home, you will be responsible for monitoring network security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. This crucial role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client's network infrastructure and data.

You will play a key part in protecting sensitive information and maintaining trust with our customers, operating within a secure, remote-first environment with cutting-edge security tools and protocols.

Key Responsibilities   Monitor network traffic and security systems (firewalls, IDS/IPS) for suspicious activity.
Analyze security alerts and investigate potential security breaches, performing root cause analysis.
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
Respond to security incidents, developing and executing containment and eradication strategies.
Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
Requirements   Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Network Security Analyst or similar cybersecurity role.
In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.

Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and intrusion detection systems.
Strong understanding of threat intelligence and incident response methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
