Remote IT Support Specialist - Hardware & Software

About the Role  Our client is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Remote IT Support Specialist to manage hardware and software issues for their distributed workforce. This role is essential for maintaining the productivity and efficiency of employees by providing timely and effective technical assistance. You will diagnose and resolve a wide range of IT problems, manage user accounts, and ensure the smooth operation of company hardware and software assets.

This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while supporting a dynamic team, including colleagues based in or near Kimberley , ensuring seamless technological operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities   Provide remote technical support to employees for hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and software issues.
Troubleshoot operating system problems, application errors, and network connectivity issues.
Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to company resources.
Document support requests, resolutions, and IT asset information accurately.
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Requirements   Proven experience in an IT Support Specialist role or similar help desk position.
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite).

Experience with remote support tools and methodologies.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
