Journeyman Data Scientist

Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a Journeyman Data Scientist to support our proposal effort for the
CEMDAR in Washington, DC.

Location: Remote

This position is designated as Key Personnel and will support the development of enterprise data pipelines, machine-learning models, analytical capabilities, and data-driven decision-support products for Air Force and Space Force cost analysis. The Journeyman Data Scientist will work within an integrated team of data scientists, data engineers, cost estimators/analysts, and Government stakeholders supporting CEMDAR's transition from stand-alone data and desktop tools toward integrated enterprise data pipelines, scalable analytics, predictive models, applications, and visualization.

• Support development of enterprise data pipelines, machine-learning models, analytical capabilities, and data-driven decision-support products for Air Force and Space Force cost analysis.
• Work within an integrated team of data scientists, data engineers, cost estimators/analysts, and Government stakeholders.
• Support CEMDAR's transition from stand-alone data and desktop tools toward integrated enterprise data pipelines, scalable analytics, predictive models, applications, and visualization.

• Minimum 5 years of data-science experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R.
• Experience with data-manipulation libraries and machine-learning frameworks used for exploratory analysis and model development.
• Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge of Databricks or similar platforms for efficient data collection, transformation, and loading.
• Experience optimizing machine-learning models using techniques such as hyperparameter tuning, cross-validation, and feature engineering.
• Experience communicating analytical findings through Tableau, Power BI, or comparable visualization tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across technical and nontechnical teams and translate analytical findings into actionable stakeholder recommendations.
• Active SECRET security clearance required at contract award.
