Summary
The Systems Architect will manage the enterprise technical strategy and lead a team of infrastructure specialists for Property Management Systems (PMS), focusing heavily on platforms like Entrata and Real Page. Working directly with Product Managers and key business stakeholders, the Systems Architect will drive overarching architectural decisions, oversee new system selections, and direct the auditing of current configurations to maximize platform ROI.
Operating as a technical leader rather than an individual contributor, this role will build and manage the internal system support and implementation teams, establish strategic frameworks, and ensure robust, scalable operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & System Selection
Lead the technical consulting practice for business stakeholders, evaluating enterprise needs and directing your team to recommend appropriate system selections and architecture design.
Oversee the assessment of current property management technology stacks, identify capability gaps, and present scalable, future-proof solutions to senior leadership.
Direct the evaluation of new property management software (Prop Tech) vendors, add-ons, and integration partners to ensure alignment with our overarching technical strategy.
System Optimization & Product Partnership
Manage a team of subject matter experts on Entrata, overseeing comprehensive audits of current system settings, configurations, and permissions.
Partner directly with Product Managers to define and execute enterprise-wide optimization strategies that maximize the utilization and efficiency of our property management systems.
Direct the identification of process bottlenecks and manage the implementation of technical solutions, automation, and best practices within Entrata to improve operational efficiency.
Oversee the technical architecture and strategic rollout of full-scale Entrata and Real Page property management implementations, managing Implementation and System Support teams and resources from scoping to delivery.
Direct the design of integration pathways between core property management systems and third-party applications (e.g., accounting software, CRM, resident portals).
Ensure your implementation teams maintain data integrity, mapping accuracy, and minimal operational downtime during migrations and new property onboarding.
Manage, develop, and mentor our dedicated system support and implementation teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Direct the creation of comprehensive architectural documentation, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the support team to reference.
Serve as the leadership escalation point for complex system failures, integration errors, or critical configuration issues.
