Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations, SRE/Site Reliability, AWS, Systems Engineer
A U.S.
-based provider of secure enterprise cloud technology for national security agencies, defense, and regulated industry customers, is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer on a contract basis. This role is fully remote within the U.S., with East Coast hours preferred. You will keep a large AWS environment healthy and automated using Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
This is a chance to work inside a security model most cloud teams never get to see. You will join a compact, senior SRE team supporting a cloud analytics platform, where infrastructure ownership is real and not split across a dozen layers. They want someone who loves automation, builds self-healing systems so problems fix themselves, and is excited to experiment with AI agents and AI-assisted tooling.
Over time the team will extend support into a neighboring HCM environment, so there is natural room for your scope to grow.
Contract Duration: 6 – 12 Months
Required Skills & Experience- Hands-on SRE, Dev Ops, or cloud infrastructure experience at scale in AWS
- Strong Terraform skills, since infrastructure as code is central to how this team works
- Working experience with Jenkins and Ansible
- Solid grasp of Kubernetes concepts (deep administration experience is not required)
- Comfort with Linux systems and troubleshooting production issues
- Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rotation
- U.S. citizenship
- Experience building AI agents or agentic automation
- Familiarity with Windows-based enterprise environments
- Background supporting secure, regulated, or compliance-heavy environments
Tech Breakdown
- 30% AWS Infrastructure (several hundred EC2 instances) & Terraform
- 30% CI/CD & Configuration Management (Jenkins, Ansible)
- 30% Kubernetes (managed container service)
- 10% SAP HANA & Analytics Workload Reliability
