About the Role

This is a temporary position, expected to last no more than ten months, leading gameday operations and maintenance of the NBA's automated officiating sensor suite at the Maverik Centre for the 2026–2027 G League season. The role bridges the gap between engineering development and arena operations, ensuring all technologies are set up to specification, calibrated, validated and running reliably during games.

  • Verify the physical placement and functionality of cameras managed by technology vendors
  • Ensure all data is captured and flows to NBA storage locations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues with team and venue staff, escalating to vendors as needed
  • Communicate and coordinate with team and venue personnel to ensure technology functions smoothly alongside typical game operations
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in broadcast technology, sports venue technology, or technical operations
  • Hands-on comfort with cameras, mounting fixtures, and software applications
  • Familiarity with cabling, connectivity, and basic computer IT concepts
  • Ability to read and execute technical deployment documentation and procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts, with a systematic approach to diagnosing hardware and software issues under time pressure
  • Ability to work at heights and in arena environments
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with multi-camera systems
  • Familiarity with camera calibration concepts such as focus and field-of-view geometry
  • Familiarity with Linux and Python scripting for data validation or troubleshooting
  • Prior sports league or venue technology operations experience
Workplace
  • Remote work option
  • Must be able to work all shifts onsite at the Maverik Centre in greater Salt Lake City
Salary
  • $200/Daily game rate
Benefits & Perks
  • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in company-sponsored employee benefit programs including medical, short-term disability, mental health coaching/therapy, and sick time
  • Not all positions are eligible for these benefits; eligibility may vary by role
