Remote Telecommunications Equipment Technician

This is a fully remote position, ideal for an experienced technician who excels in troubleshooting and maintaining complex network equipment from a distance. Leveraging advanced remote diagnostic tools, online collaboration platforms, and comprehensive documentation, you will diagnose, resolve, and prevent issues related to routers, switches, servers, and other network devices. • Perform remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, servers, and transmission systems.
• Monitor network performance and system health using specialized software and identify potential issues before they impact service.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers or specialized teams when necessary, providing detailed diagnostic information.
• Develop and update technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, installation procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with field technicians and customer support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage remote configuration and firmware updates for network devices.
• Maintain accurate records of all technical activities, including problem resolution, parts used, and time spent.
• Adhere to strict security protocols and data privacy regulations in all remote operations.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in telecommunications technology and network management.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation, maintenance, or repair, with a strong emphasis on remote support.
• Proven expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues with network hardware, including routers, switches, and optical equipment.
• Familiarity with various telecommunications protocols and network management systems (NMS).
• Experience using remote access and diagnostic tools (e.g., SSH, Telnet, SNMP, remote desktop).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
