You will be a key player in guiding farmers and agronomists from the comfort of your home office, offering insights that transform traditional practices into data-driven operations. Your expertise will directly impact how crops are managed, resources are utilized, and yields are maximized, all through innovative technological solutions delivered remotely.

• Design, implement, and manage precision agriculture programs, including GPS guidance, variable rate application, yield monitoring, and soil/crop sensing technologies.
• Analyze large datasets from farm equipment, sensors, drones, and satellite imagery to identify trends, optimize resource allocation (water, fertilizer, pesticides), and improve decision-making.
• Provide remote technical support and training to farmers and agricultural consultants on the use of precision agriculture tools and software platforms.
• Develop customized farm management plans based on precision data analysis to enhance crop health, yield, and quality.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in precision agriculture technology, data analytics, and agricultural software.
• Collaborate with equipment manufacturers, software developers, and research institutions to ensure our solutions are cutting-edge.
• Generate comprehensive reports on farm performance, resource efficiency, and sustainability metrics for clients.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to precision agriculture equipment and software remotely.

• A Master's degree or PhD in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Geomatics, Computer Science with an agricultural focus, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in precision agriculture, data analysis, and farm management software.
• In-depth knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, IoT in agriculture, and statistical analysis techniques.
• Proven ability to interpret complex agricultural datasets and translate them into practical, actionable recommendations.
• Experience with various farm management information systems (FMIS) and precision agriculture hardware.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences remotely.
• Must have a reliable home office setup with high-speed internet access.
• Demonstrated understanding of agricultural practices and challenges relevant to diverse South African farming contexts.
