• Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning models for tasks such as algorithmic trading, risk prediction, fraud detection, and customer segmentation.
• Analyze large datasets from financial markets (e.g., equities, derivatives, forex) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate model performance and business impact.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data science solutions.
• Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data into usable formats for analysis and modeling.
• Develop data visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and financial engineering.
• Contribute to the development of the firm's data infrastructure and MLOps capabilities.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensure the ethical and responsible use of data and models.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a significant portion focused on financial markets or quantitative finance.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Pandas, Num Py).
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and experimental design.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with financial data sources and market microstructure is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts effectively.
