This role involves a balance of independent and collaborative working, e.g., independently planning how a software would be implemented, then working closely with managers and colleagues to review, adjust and implement it, and finally delivering training to users and administrators to ensure the solution’s adoption and success over time.

  • Working with IT leadership and non-technical managers to understand open-ended requirements, design creative and tailored solutions, and implement them with accompanying written documentation and procedures to ensure a solution’s long-term success. Designing, delivering, and overseeing the business impact of, a wide range of technical projects
  • Creating and maintaining high-quality guidance, architectural documentation, processes and SOPs, and training materials for colleagues and users, ensuring technical knowledge is communicated clearly, managed effectively, and easily accessible
  • Supporting the career development and growth of junior colleagues, which may include onboarding new team members, reviewing work, identifying training needs across the team, and delivering training
  • Co-ordinating third-party suppliers to deliver work effectively and managing their performance by driving urgency, setting clear expectations, addressing underperformance constructively, and creating accountability for service quality and outcomes
  • Acting as a conduit between the Tech Ops team and the wider company, developing strong working relationships with others
About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual who will enjoy building relationships with customers and managers across the company, communicating IT changes to non-technical audiences, and confidently advocating for new ideas and solutions. You will be skilled in identifying, designing, implementing, and documenting technical solutions to ensure effective management of IT systems in the long-term. In our small team, every colleague has clear ownership and visible impact;

this environment will suit a passionate and results-driven person who enjoys being accountable and responsible for their work.

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an IT-related role, including at least 2 years in a role involving systems management and delivering technical projects/changes
