DHA Configuration Analyst - Remote​/Nationwide

In the role of DHA Configuration Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging your recent hands-on Military Health System revenue cycle experience and partner with operational subject matter experts, technical teams, and implementation stakeholders to evaluate workflows, identify system and process gaps, configure solutions, develop and execute testing scenarios, troubleshoot issues, and validate that system functionality meets business requirements.

• Analyze revenue cycle business requirements and translate operational needs into system configuration specifications and functional solutions.
• Configure and maintain system settings, workflows, work queues, business rules, and other functionality supporting assigned revenue cycle functions.
• Apply knowledge of Military Health System revenue cycle operations to ensure system configuration aligns with operational and business requirements.
• Partner with operational subject matter experts to understand current-state processes, pain points, workarounds, and desired future-state functionality.
• Evaluate configuration options and recommend solutions that balance operational requirements, system capabilities, standardization, and efficiency.
• Document configuration decisions, business requirements, workflows, dependencies, and changes in accordance with established processes.

• Configure and optimize system functionality supporting Third Party Collections, insurance identification and verification, charge capture, coding, claims management, denials, accounts receivable, and collections.
• Evaluate current workflows to identify configuration opportunities that reduce missed billing and charge capture opportunities, claim delays, denials, revenue leakage, and accounts receivable backlogs.
• Configure workflows and system functionality to support effective denial identification, root-cause analysis, appeals, follow-up, and recovery processes.
• Support configuration of coding and clinical documentation workflows, including work queues and processes designed to improve productivity, accuracy, and reimbursement.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual processes and operational workarounds with standardized or automated system functionality.

• Develop test scenarios and test scripts based on business requirements, operational workflows, and expected system outcomes.
• Perform functional, workflow, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate system configuration and functionality.
• Validate end-to-end workflows to ensure configured solutions appropriately support operational processes and intended business outcomes.
• Identify, document, research, and assist in resolving configuration defects, workflow issues, and unexpected system behavior.
• Partner with operational users to validate solutions prior to implementation and confirm configuration changes meet established requirements.

• Analyze system functionality, operational processes, and performance data to identify opportunities for configuration and workflow improvements.
• Investigate workflow bottlenecks, revenue leakage, denial trends, productivity challenges, and other operational issues to determine potential system solutions.
• Support development and validation of operational reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
• Recommend configuration changes that improve efficiency, standardization, revenue capture, collections, reimbursement accuracy, and the overall user experience.
