Senior UX​/UI Designer; Remote

Our client, a rapidly expanding digital solutions provider, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Johannesburg and surrounding areas, or further afield if you excel in a virtual environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of innovative digital products, driving user engagement, and ensuring intuitive design.

• Lead the design and development of user-centered interface designs for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive and engaging user experiences.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of all design considerations.
• Stay abreast of the latest UX/UI trends, technologies, and design methodologies, and incorporate them into your work.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the team.

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and successful projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, visual design, and information architecture.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
