Lead Enterprise Architect

Our client, a dynamic force in the South African business landscape, is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Enterprise Architect to join their growing team in Tembisa, Gauteng

As the Lead Enterprise Architect, you will be instrumental in shaping and guiding the organization's technological vision and strategy. You will oversee the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide IT architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals, optimizing technology investments, and driving innovation.

This is a critical leadership position requiring a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of various technology domains and a proven ability to translate complex business needs into robust architectural blueprints. You will lead a team of talented architects and collaborate closely with senior management across various departments.

• Develop and communicate the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards.
• Define and maintain architectural principles, patterns, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into architectural requirements.
• Oversee the design and implementation of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and solutions to meet business needs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to solution architects, domain architects, and project teams.
• Identify and analyze architectural risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure the integration of various systems and applications across the enterprise.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure compliance with established standards and best practices.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 7 years in enterprise architecture or a similar senior architectural role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
• Strong understanding of various technology domains including applications, data, infrastructure, and security.
• Experience with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Excellent understanding of business process modeling and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
