Senior Remote Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

Our client, a global leader in its industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Remote Project Manager to oversee critical IT infrastructure projects. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex IT infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, and cloud migrations.
• Develop detailed project plans, define scope, manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Manage cross-functional teams of IT professionals, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Establish and maintain clear, consistent communication channels with all project stakeholders.
• Oversee the procurement and implementation of IT hardware, software, and services.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Uphold company standards for IT security and data privacy throughout all project phases.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing complex, large-scale IT infrastructure deployments.
• Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, ITIL).
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Service Now).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL Foundation, or CISSP are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work remotely in South Africa and possess a reliable internet connection.
