Our client is looking for a talented Data Scientist specializing in Bioinformatics to join their fully remote research team. This role is critical for analyzing complex biological datasets, uncovering insights, and developing predictive models that drive our research initiatives forward. You will be instrumental in translating large-scale omics data into actionable biological understanding, working closely with computational biologists and domain experts.

- Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models for analyzing large-scale genomic and proteomic data .
- Design and manage databases for biological data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Collaborate with research scientists to interpret results and generate hypotheses.
- Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in bioinformatics and data science methodologies.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis and modeling, with a focus on biological data.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, Biopython).
- Solid understanding of statistical genetics, machine learning algorithms, and biological pathways .
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and version control systems (Git).
