IT Project Manager - Infrastructure Rollout

Our client, a leading retail group, is seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager to oversee a critical infrastructure rollout project across their network of stores. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless deployment of new hardware, software, and network capabilities, which are essential for enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure projects, meticulous planning skills, and the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.

• Manage all phases of the IT infrastructure project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and budget forecasts for the infrastructure rollout.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of internal IT teams, external vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Implement and manage project scope, ensuring changes are properly documented, evaluated, approved, and communicated.
• Identify potential project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Establish and maintain clear communication channels with all project stakeholders, providing regular progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and relevant regulations.
• Facilitate project team meetings and conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects, including hardware, software, and network deployments.
• Demonstrable experience with large-scale rollouts, preferably in a retail or multi-site environment.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; PMP or ITIL certification is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and coordinate distributed resources effectively.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
