Online Learning Platform Specialist

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Online Learning Platform Specialist to manage and optimize their digital learning environment. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The specialist will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and ongoing support of the institution's Learning Management System (LMS) and associated educational technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of LMS functionalities, experience in troubleshooting technical issues, and a passion for facilitating effective online learning experiences.

You will collaborate with instructional designers, faculty, and IT teams to ensure a seamless and robust platform for students and educators worldwide. • Administer, configure, and maintain the institution's Learning Management System (LMS).
• Provide technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students on LMS usage and other online learning tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the LMS and integrated educational applications.
• Collaborate with instructional designers to ensure content is effectively integrated and accessible within the LMS.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and course enrollments.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in online learning technologies and LMS administration.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new educational technology tools.
• Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the online learning experience and platform capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in LMS administration and support (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard).
• Strong understanding of web technologies and database management.
• Proficiency in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear technical guidance.
• Experience with user training and documentation development.
• Familiarity with online learning pedagogy and instructional design principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) is a plus.
