Senior Computer Science Educator; Grades 8-12

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Computer Science Educator to lead their programming and technology curriculum for students in Grades 8-12. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to a leading educational institution. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of computer science principles, programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and emerging technologies.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging online courses, fostering computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and preparing students for advanced studies and careers in technology. • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and interactive online lessons and curriculum for Computer Science, covering topics such as programming (e.g., Python, Java), web development, data science, and cybersecurity for Grades 8-12.
• Foster computational thinking, algorithmic problem-solving, and critical analysis skills among students.
• Assess student progress through online assignments, coding projects, virtual labs, and remote examinations, providing timely and detailed feedback.
• Utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital tools effectively to create a rich online learning experience.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer science, educational technology, and online teaching methodologies.
• Collaborate with the IT and curriculum development teams to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of the computer science program.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students interested in pursuing technology-related fields.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to online learning platforms and provide support to students.
• Contribute to the development of online assessment tools and virtual labs.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification or demonstrable experience in teaching computer science at the secondary level.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching computer science, with at least 3 years in an online or remote teaching capacity.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript) and understanding of software development lifecycle.
• Experience with curriculum design for online learning environments.
• Excellent digital literacy and proficiency with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and virtual collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
