We run a software consulting business that helps talented technology professionals around the world connect with career opportunities at U.S. companies. In simple terms, we're trying to bridge the gap between talented engineers and companies that need their skills, regardless of where those engineers are located.
Because our business operates remotely across different states and countries, we sometimes need dependable people in the U.S. who can help with the physical side of our operations.

- What the work actually involves
Many technology companies provide laptops for their employees rather than allowing them to use personal computers. For certain projects, company laptops may need to remain at an approved U.S. location, even when an authorized employee works remotely.
In those situations, we need someone who can provide basic physical support for the equipment.
For example, if a project is assigned to you, we would arrange to send the laptop and any necessary equipment to your location. You would help keep the equipment secure, follow straightforward setup instructions, and assist with basic checks or troubleshooting when needed.
You wouldn't be expected to figure out technical problems on your own. We'll provide clear instructions and guide you through anything unfamiliar.
Most importantly, this is not a job that requires you to sit in front of a computer all day.
Once everything is properly set up and working, there may be very little to do. Occasionally, you might need to check a device, restart something, or help resolve a simple issue.
At the beginning, we may also have a short morning check-in to make sure everything is running smoothly.
What matters most to us is having someone reliable, responsive, and reasonably available when support is needed.

- Why this could be a good opportunity
We're hoping to build a long-term working relationship rather than hire someone for a short project.
Our goal is to provide a consistent source of additional income without requiring a large daily time commitment.
You don't need previous IT experience, technical certifications, or any specialized knowledge.

Someone responsible, trustworthy, and easy to communicate with.
A stable home environment with a safe, private space for equipment.
A reliable internet connection with reasonable upload and download speeds.
The ability to respond within agreed time frames when assistance is needed.
Willingness to follow clear instructions and communicate promptly if anything goes wrong.
We provide the necessary equipment and cover equipment and shipping expenses.

-Compensation
Our proposed compensation is:
$200 per company laptop per month, with no fixed maximum number of assignments.
$150 for an initial test-laptop assignment, using equipment we provide.
Additional compensation may be available for unusual situations requiring significantly more time or effort.

Preferred qualifications:

• 21+ years or older
