Test Lead | SAP IS-U Utility CIS Transformation

Test Lead:
On behalf of our Utilities client, Procom is searching for a Test Lead for a full time perm direct hire role. This position is a remote position with monthly trips to Columbus Ohio. What matters most:
• SAP IS-U experience and utility meter to cash knowledge
• Has led testing on a large CIS implementation at an electric, gas or water utility
• 10+ years in testing, with 5+ years as a Test Lead
• Comfortable governing and challenging a System Integrator's testing work
• Remote is fine, but they must be able to travel to Columbus, Ohio monthly
• SAP change impact analysis experience (such as Live Compare) is a bonus.

- Job Description:

As a Test Lead, you will provide independent testing leadership and governance for a regulated utility replacing its customer information system (CIS) on SAP IS-U. You will work alongside a global System Integrator (SI) and report to the client's Program Test Manager. The project involves reviewing and challenging the SI's testing approach, ensuring coverage is tied to real business risk, and guiding the program through SIT, UAT, conversion, and deployment readiness.

- Responsibilities:
• Lead the CIS testing strategy and execution across SIT, regression, UAT, cutover validation, and post-deployment validation.
• Partner with the SI to review, challenge, and align test strategies, plans, schedules, deliverables, dependencies, and entry and exit criteria.
• Govern test execution through progress tracking, KPI reporting, risk identification, escalation, and readiness assessments.
• Maintain traceability from requirements and designs through test cases, execution results, and defects.
• Ensure full coverage of SAP IS-U and the wider CIS ecosystem, including customer accounts, billing, payments, collections, metering, customer service, and meter to cash processes.
• Coordinate integration testing with AMI/MDM, payment platforms, contact center, digital channels, reporting, finance, field operations, and other connected systems.
• Run the CIS defect management process, from triage and prioritization through retest and closure. Test Lead - Mandatory

Skills:

• 10+ years of enterprise application testing experience, including large transformation programs.
• Direct experience leading testing for a large CIS implementation or transformation at a regulated utility.
• Strong SAP IS-U experience and a deep understanding of utility meter to cash processes.
• Experience owning test strategy, planning, governance, execution, defect management, and reporting.
• Experience working directly with a System Integrator to review and govern testing approaches.
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), and ADO Test Plans.
• Authorized to work in the United States. Test Lead – Nice-to-Have

Skills:

• Experience with SAP S/4

HANA Utilities and large CIS replacement programs.
• SAP change impact analysis experience, such as Tricentis Live Compare.
• Experience with AMI/MDM to CIS integrations, bill comparison testing, and revenue impact assessment.
• Experience with enterprise test automation, regression strategy, and performance testing.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methods. Test Lead – Assignment Length:
