Remote Telecom Operations Specialist

Our client, a rapidly expanding telecommunications infrastructure company, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Telecom Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team. This fully remote position is critical for ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation and effective management of our client's telecommunications network across various regions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of network operations, service level agreements (SLAs), and incident management processes.

You will play a key role in monitoring network performance, coordinating maintenance activities, and resolving operational issues to maintain high service availability. • Monitor network performance and identify potential issues, outages, or service degradations.
• Respond to and manage network incidents, coordinating resolution efforts with relevant teams.
• Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for network uptime and performance.
• Schedule and coordinate routine network maintenance activities and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and incident logs.
• Liaise with internal technical teams, field technicians, and external vendors to resolve operational challenges.
• Analyze network performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Assist in the implementation of new network services and configurations.
• Manage trouble tickets and ensure timely resolution of customer-impacting issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required for critical incident response.

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications network operations or a similar technical support role.
• Strong understanding of network monitoring tools and practices.
• Familiarity with telecommunications network infrastructure (e.g., IP networks, fibre optics, wireless).
• Knowledge of incident management and change management processes.
• Experience with ticketing systems and customer support platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively under pressure.
