DevOps Engineer

Our client, an innovative SaaS provider with a growing user base, is seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer to join their technology team in Soweto, Gauteng . This role is crucial for enhancing our software development and deployment processes, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for automating and streamlining our operations and processes, managing our cloud environments, and implementing best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Ensure the security, availability, and performance of production systems.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve system reliability.
• Implement and enforce Dev Ops best practices across the organization.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and resolution.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve the development and deployment lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a Dev Ops, SRE, or Systems Administration role.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
