Remote Senior Sales Engineer

Our client, a leading innovator in industrial IoT solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting clients and prospects in the Polokwane region and beyond. This critical role bridges the gap between complex technical solutions and customer business needs, providing expert technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. You will engage with potential customers to understand their challenges, demonstrate the capabilities of our client's cutting-edge IoT platforms, and design tailored solutions.

This is a remote-first position requiring strong technical acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to client engagement.

• Serve as the primary technical expert during the sales process, supporting Account Executives in engaging clients.
• Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to fully understand customer technical requirements, business objectives, and pain points related to IoT and industrial automation.
• Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations, showcasing the value of our client's solutions.
• Design and architect customized IoT solutions that meet specific client needs, leveraging deep technical knowledge.
• Respond to technical queries, RFPs, and RFIs from potential and existing customers.
• Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback on market requirements and product enhancements.
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings, particularly within the context of the Polokwane market's industrial landscape.
• Contribute to the development of sales enablement materials, including technical documentation and best practice guides.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Pre-Sales role, preferably within the IoT, M2M, or industrial automation sectors.
• Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data analytics, and sensor technologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing IoT solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Superb communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field;
  Master's degree is a plus.
• Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
• Ability to travel occasionally to client sites if required, though the role is primarily remote and based remotely near Polokwane .
