Lead UX​/UI Designer - Fintech Innovation Hub

, is looking for a visionary Lead UX/UI Designer to shape the future of their digital financial products. You will be instrumental in translating complex financial concepts into intuitive, engaging, and accessible user interfaces. The Johannesburg location serves as a hub for technological advancement in the financial sector. We are seeking a creative leader with a passion for solving user problems and a keen eye for detail, who can foster a collaborative design culture.

• Lead the design process from concept to execution for all digital products, including user research, wire framing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design.
• Define and evolve the overall user experience strategy and design language for the company's platforms.
• Mentor and guide a team of UX/UI designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and market analysis to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of design into product development.
• Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that meet user needs and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI kits to ensure consistency across all products.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design and Fin Tech.
• Champion user-centric design principles throughout the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills in UI, UX, interaction design, and visual design for web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
• Proven experience conducting user research, usability testing, and interpreting user feedback.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience designing for financial services or Fin Tech products is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience working in a hybrid model, with the ability to collaborate effectively both remotely and in-office in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
